Choose the Yealink MeetingBar A20 for small and huddle rooms, the A30 for medium rooms where people sit further from the screen, and the A40 when you want 4K video and Yealink’s newer AI camera features in a small-to-medium room. All three are all-in-one video bars (camera, microphones, speakers and computer in one unit) that run Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms on Android, so you do not need a PC in the room.
The real question is not which bar is “better”, but which one suits the shape of your room and the way your team meets. This guide explains the differences in plain terms and adds the room details we check on site in UAE offices.

How to choose a video bar by room size
Small and huddle rooms: MeetingBar A20
A huddle room is a small space with a short table where people sit close to the screen. Here a single wide camera is exactly what you need: everyone is already in the frame, and auto framing tidies up the picture. The A20 keeps things simple, and it is the bar we usually consider first for small rooms that host quick internal calls.
Medium and deeper rooms: MeetingBar A30
In a longer room, people at the far end of the table look small on a wide camera. The A30 solves this with its second, zoom camera, so the system can frame people further back more clearly. If your room is noticeably longer than it is wide, or you often have a full table, the A30 is the one to look at.
Rooms that need the best picture: MeetingBar A40
The A40 is Yealink’s newer bar in this group, with 4K video, IntelliFocus and support for extra expansion microphones. It suits small-to-medium rooms where image quality matters: client-facing rooms, management meeting rooms or rooms used for presentations to head office abroad. The expansion mic option also helps when people sit away from the bar.
Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms: decide the platform first
Each MeetingBar is ordered and set up for one platform. Before choosing a model, agree which one the room will run:
- Microsoft Teams Rooms: the usual choice if your company already uses Microsoft 365 and Teams calendars. The room needs its own Teams Rooms licence and resource account.
- Zoom Rooms: the natural choice if your company works mainly in Zoom. The room needs a Zoom Rooms licence.
Both platforms can usually join the other’s meetings through direct guest join features, but the experience is best on the room’s own platform.
Touch console and meeting-room accessories
A MeetingBar is controlled from a touch console on the table, usually the Yealink CTP18 or CTP25 depending on the model and bundle. Staff tap “Join” on the scheduled meeting and the call starts. Other items to plan for:
- Display: one or two commercial screens sized to the room so people at the back can read shared content.
- Wireless sharing: Yealink’s wireless presentation pod (included in some bundles) lets guests share a laptop screen without cables.
- Room booking panel: a Yealink RoomPanel at the door shows whether the room is free and stops double bookings.
- Wall mount: the bar sits just above or below the display, at roughly eye level for seated people.
Field notes from UAE meeting rooms
The bar is only half the result. These are the issues we see most often in Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices:
- Glass walls and hard floors. Many fit-outs use glass partitions and tiles, which create echo. Rugs, a fabric pinboard or acoustic panels make a bigger difference to audio than any upgrade in model.
- AC noise. A ceiling AC unit directly above the table is picked up by the microphones. Where possible, keep the bar away from noisy vents and set the AC to a lower fan speed during calls.
- Window glare. Strong daylight behind people makes faces dark. Blinds, or placing the bar so it does not face the window, fixes this.
- Use a wired network. Plan a network point behind the screen. Wi-Fi works, but a cable is more stable for daily calls. Ask your IT team or integrator to check firewall rules for Microsoft Teams or Zoom traffic.
- Test with a real call. Before handover, we join a meeting from a laptop elsewhere and listen from every seat, so the far side hears everyone clearly.
Frequently asked questions
Which Yealink MeetingBar is best for a small huddle room?
Usually the A20, with its single wide camera. Choose the A40 if you want 4K and newer AI camera features in a small-to-medium room.
When do I need the MeetingBar A30 instead of the A20?
When the room is deeper. The A30’s second, zoom camera frames people at the far end of the table more clearly.
Do the MeetingBars work with both Microsoft Teams and Zoom?
Yes, but each unit runs one platform at a time. Decide the platform before ordering.
Do I need a PC in the meeting room?
No. The software runs on the bar itself. You add a display and a touch console.
Can SNTECH install a MeetingBar in our office?
Yes. We survey the room, recommend the model, install and set it up, and test it with your team.
