If you are setting up a new office in Dubai or replacing an old analogue PBX, three names come up again and again: 3CX, Yeastar and Grandstream. All three are solid, widely used IP phone systems. The right choice depends less on which is "best" and more on how your team works, how many people you have and how you want to manage the system.
We have installed and supported all three for UAE businesses for more than eight years. Here is the honest comparison we give customers before they buy.

| Our quick verdict | Most flexible and feature-rich | Easiest all-round choice | Best value |
3CX: the most flexible choice
3CX is a software phone system. We install it on a small server or appliance at your office, and your staff use the 3CX web client, Windows app or mobile app as their extension. It shines when people move around, work from different rooms or need good call reports.
- Strengths: excellent apps, call queues and wallboards, call reports, CRM integrations, works with almost any IP phone.
- Watch out for: the licence is renewed every year, and analogue lines need a separate gateway.
- Good fit: sales teams, support desks, companies with several departments, and offices that want their extension on their mobile.
Yeastar P-Series: the easy all-in-one
Yeastar P-Series combines the PBX, apps and integrations in one appliance (or a software edition for your own server). Setup is clean, the web interface is easy for office managers, and many models can take analogue line or phone modules inside the box.
- Strengths: simple management, Linkus apps, built-in options for analogue lines, a good range of models for different office sizes.
- Watch out for: advanced features depend on the plan you choose, so check which plan covers what you need.
- Good fit: offices of roughly 10 to 150 users that want something reliable without much ongoing management.
Grandstream UCM: the best value
Grandstream UCM6300 series appliances give you a full-featured PBX without per-user licence fees for the core features. Grandstream also makes the phones, DECT handsets, Wi-Fi and door intercoms, so you can build a complete system from one brand.
- Strengths: low running cost, built-in analogue ports on many models, complete ecosystem of phones, Wi-Fi and intercoms.
- Watch out for: the interface is more technical, so it benefits from a good installer and support partner.
- Good fit: budget-conscious offices, warehouses, schools and sites that want a one-brand setup.
Which one should you choose?
- Under 10 users, simple needs: Grandstream UCM or a small Yeastar model.
- 10 to 50 users, mixed office: Yeastar P-Series for simplicity, or 3CX if mobile apps and reports matter.
- Call centre, sales or support team: 3CX for queues, wallboards and reports.
- Several branches: any of the three can work; we usually look at your network and VPN setup first.
- Replacing an old Panasonic or analogue PBX: all three work, with gateways where needed so your existing lines and fax keep working.
One thing that is the same for all three
Whichever system you choose, it is installed at your office in the UAE and connects to the phone lines you get from your own licensed operator, such as du or e&. SNTECH installs and supports the system; we do not sell phone numbers or telecom lines.
